Admin history/BiographyJames Cleland or Clelland, engine keeper, of Cadder Parish married Mary Rankier of Kilsyth Parish at Kilsyth on 15 November 1850 and settled at Hilton Cottages, Cadder. Their children were: Alexander born on 9 April 1855, Janet born 9 October 1857, Samuel born 2 October 1859, James born on 2 June 1861, and another son called James born on 2 June 1870.
