Admin history/BiographyOn August 26th 1935, Killermont Primary School was opened as an annexe of Bearsden Academy. It remained attached until 1946, when it became a separate school with a roll of 188 pupils and employing six staff, including its own headmaster. By 1951 the number of pupils had increased to 193, and by 1962 it had reached 300.
The school stayed on the same site until 1994, when proposals to add an extension began. Concern was expressed over the extension plan, and instead it was agreed that a new primary school would be built on a vacant site at Kinnaird Crescent, Bearsden. Work on the new building began in 1995, and the new Killermont Primary School was officially opened in 1997. As of 2016 it had a roll of 314 pupils, along with 30 full-time and two job-share staff.
