DescriptionGlass instrument, likely a syringe, in its box. Glass tube with glass stem within that is able to move up and down using the top which protudes at one end and is secured and made airtight with cork and cotton thread. There is a thin glass tube with glass ball with hole in it at opposite end to the glass stem.
Box is mottled brown efffect with makers mark on top: Durie Browns Ltd Fountpenmen Edinburgh & Glasgow
