DescriptionA bronze medal with a deep blue ribbon and fastenings. The front of the medal is decorated with a releaf image of a babycarrying a light and the inscription reads: LATEAT SCINTILLVLA FORSAN. SOC LOND IN RESVSVITAT

On the opposite side there is a floral wreath and the inscription reads:

SOC. REG. HVM.
tHE MEDAL IS IN A BOX, WITH AN INSCRIPTION ON THE LID:' pRESENTED BY the royal humane society' AND THE SOCIETY'S CREST.
The nam od the producer of the medal is on the inside of the lid: Warrightons, Engraver to the Queen, , 23 Garrick st, St. Martin's Lane, LONDON.
Awarded for jumping into the Forth & Clyde Canal to rescue a drowning child.
