Description'RNMDSF', (Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen), collection box in the shape of a fish. Painted silver, with 'RNMDSF' painted in red. Label stuck on to the base with rules and information.
The firm of 'Universal Pulp Containers' started in Milton of Campsie in 1935 with twelve employees. The UPC containers are used for a multitude of purpose- for packing of highly delicate engineering instruments to sweets and toys for children and charity collecting boxes etc. The latter items are painted and made very attractive.
