TitleHalloween trinkets
DescriptionHalloween trinkets 1) button, 2) ring, 3) doll, 4) thimble
.
It was once tradition in Scotland to bake trinkets like these into cake at Halloween. The cake was often decorated to look like a grotesque face with mallow filled cheeks. The trinkets were hidden in the cake and were thought to divine a fate for the finder.
.
The ring would signify a wedding not far off; the button for bachelorhood and the thimble for the finder to remain a spinster. The small figure however is not one of the common trinkets.
