DescriptionDumbarton Volunteer Rifles Officers jacket. Red with yellow collar and cuffs. Champagne quilted lining. Full length sleeves with yello cuffs. Cuffs edged with white and gold threaded ribbon. 3 decorative buttons and decorative silver thread to replicate button holes. Lined with striped cotton high yellow collar edged with white and silver threaded ribbon. Pin at left and right side of collar at front. Pin of gold coloured elephant in silver coloured wreath with banner 'FORTITUDO ET FIDELITAS'. Silver 3 pipong weaved sholder straps fastened with button. Jacket fastened with 7 buttons and 2 hook and eyes. Hooks at waist for belt. 4 hexagonal flaps below waist and 2 oblong flaps below waist at back all edged in white. Pocket in front left and right hexagonal flaps hidden by decorative hexagonal flaps with 3 decorative buttons and silver stitched buttonholes. Decorative hexagonal flaps at back with 3 decorative buttons and silver stitched button holes.
