Townhead Bridge

Old Lawson's bus crossing Townhead Bridge, Kirkintilloch. The photograph is one of a series taken by Provost William Fletcher during the 1920s and early 1930s which show how progressive growth in the size of motor buses was causing acute damage to the bascule bridge at Townhead.
