Description

Cast-iron drinking fountain in Peel Park, Kirkintilloch. Lion Foundry drinking fountain with 'Sanitor' depression valves depicts a roman woman carrying a water pot on her head. In her hand is an olive branch. Erected in 1905 to mark the silver jubilee of the Lion Foundry. It was donated by Robert Hudson, one of the original partners of the foundry.
