Alexandra Avenue, Lenzie. Showing the second row of shops to be provided at Lenzie, opened during the mid-1870s and included a baker, butcher, chemist, grocer and shoemaker. The provision of the first shops was a great boost to the residents of Lenzie, who until then had been forced to depend on Glasgow shops, or those in nearby Kirkintilloch.
