Hawthorn Avenue

Hawthorn Avenue, Lenzie, showing villas on the south side of the street. There is a good example of a gas street lamp, on the left, and a characteristic child\'s pram of the period on the right. Hawthorn Avenue was one of the streets in central Lenzie to be developed during the major expansion of the 1870s. The earliest villas were built during that decade.
