This picture shows the original Bishopbriggs school, or 'Old Stirling School' c1880. This 'infant and sewing school' stood between the new school and the public road. The figure in the foreground may well be the headmistress, Miss Marion Graham. When overcrowding became severe in the late nineteenth century a new, larger school was built and this building was demolished.
