Description

\'The Tower\', Garngaber Avenue, Lenzie, c.1905. Earlier names for it had been \'Bochara House\' and \'Woodlands\'. \'The Tower\' was built by David Marshall, a Kirkintilloch wood merchant and first occupied by William Robertson. During the 1870s and 1880s it was occupied by David Sandeman, a Glasgow yarn merchant who became Provost of Kirkintilloch in 1877.
