Admin history/Biography6/14 Eastside was sold to Sir John Stirling of Glorat by John Watt Esq of Glentore, sometime Surgeon in Kirkintilloch, in 1794. The property then consisted of 'a tenement of houses, and office, houses, high and laigh, back and fore, with the yard and pertinents'. In 1806 the property was sold to William Reid of Hayston, and it was sold to James Stark in 1859. In 1915 Frederick Di Paolo acquired the property. The Di Paolos ran a cafe at 6 Eastside, no. 8 became a dressmakers, no. 10 a cobbler, no. 12 a hairdressers, and no. 14 was residential. The property later became the East 14 pub.
