Admin history/BiographyIn February 1889 a number of amenity-conscious citizens of Lenzie met at a public meeting to consider the building of public halls, of ambitious scale and in a central location. Following a number of well organised fund-raising events, the Lenzie Public Halls, designed by Messrs Baldie & Tennant, the Glasgow architects, were officially opened on 31 August 1892. The Halls are now run by East Dunbartonshire Council.
