Admin history/BiographyRobert Scott was born in 1893 and grew up in Kirkintilloch. In 1913 he married Martha Hamilton in St David’s Parish Church in Kirkintilloch. The couple settled in East High Street, Kirkintilloch and had two children together. Robert joined the army in September 1914 and served in the 10th Black Watch, 26th Division of the British Expeditionary Force in France. After almost three years of service, Robert died in action in Palestine on 6 November 1917.
