Letter from Wm Coutts to Father which mentions they've had a lot of snow. An army of occupation is to be selected, and that men with only a year or 18 months service will form it- men who stayed on until they are no longer needed would be paid extra. Wm expects to be selected- he will be asked if he's willing to stay and if not he will receive half the pay-rise and will be de-mobbed as soon as practicable. Wm will not agree to stay on.
