Letter from Wm Coutts to Father where he mentions that he is still not sure when he'll be able to come home- hopes public opinion at home will be able to do something. Mentions having a "REAL steak pie". Not much amusement- the cinema and all cafes in the town are out of bounds due to a typhus outbreak. Mentions that his pay-book has been marked "selected for retention". Is still refusing to voluntarily re-enlist.
